Our Team

When we say “team” we mean it. We recruit, operate, and hold each other accountable like a top performing sports team. Our internal team is built on trust, commitment, and structured processes. We all have our specialized roles and depth of skills supported by a breadth of team support. We believe that the people behind a business are what make it succeed or fail. We win together.

Our mission is to advance innovation through our expertise in welding and fabrication.

Meet the Team

  • Person white water kayaking in a rocky river, wearing a helmet and life jacket, holding a paddle.

    Chris Gavitt

    Technical Director, Managing Partner

BS Environmental Engineering - University of Vermont

Certifications: AWS D18.1, AWS 17.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX

After graduating from the University of Vermont in 2012, Chris started his career building skyscrapers in New York City. A passion for outdoor sports brought him to Colorado where, in 2020, he founded Alloy Metalworks. Chris’s lifelong curiosity and problem-solving mindset have shaped Alloy’s approach to precision welding and technical collaboration.

Chris splits his time between the shop floor, building parts, and the office, contributing his technical knowledge and eye for the smallest details.

    Cynta Hritz

    Business Director, Managing Partner

BS Strategic Communication and Advertising - University of Colorado Boulder

MS in Management and Organization - University of Colorado Denver

Cynta officially joined Alloy Metalworks in 2023 after finishing her Masters in Management and Organization, with an emphasis in Business Strategy. However, she has been part of Alloy’s evolution from the very beginning when the business first started in her and Chris’s garage.

Cynta keeps Alloy on-track and in compliance. She takes on everything from HR to purchasing to 3D drafting and project management.

    Randy Zavala

    Fabrication Lead

Certifications: AWS D18.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX

Randy brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in high-end fabrication, with expertise spanning complex geometric builds, precision sheet metal work, finishing and polishing, and precision welding. He has been an essential part of Alloy’s team since 2023, contributing to projects ranging from incoloy chemical reactor systems to aerospace ground support structures. When a project requires meticulous care for fabrication, Randy delivers.

    Mark Bolek

    Welding Lead

Certifications: AWS D1.2, ASME Section IX

To say Mark is experienced in advanced welding is an understatement. If 10,000 hrs of practice is the standard checkpoint for mastery, then Mark’s 40,000 hours puts him at Jedi level. His CV includes companies like SpaceX, Micro Motion, MKS Instruments and more. As Welding Lead, Mark guides projects requiring advanced welding techniques, where metallurgy, skill, and experience intersect to achieve exceptional results. His leadership and expertise ensure that Alloy’s most demanding welds are consistently carried out with master-level precision.

    Richard J Morrow

    Sales Engineer

    BA Physics, St. Mary’s College

    MBA, St. Thomas College

If you have worked in the precision manufacturing space in and around Colorado, you likely know Richard. He has worked in Advanced Manufacturing for a really long time… (you can ask him exactly how long). He is the master connector who not only knows the people behind the business, but what valuable connections can be made to better all parties. He is the glue between teams, projects, and partnerships.

How We Do It

We speak your technical language, from weld design to compliance - catching potential problems and identifying efficiency improvements before work begins.

2. The Best Work with the Best.
We bring top talent, premium materials, and trusted partners together to deliver results.

3. Precision Managed, Quality Assured.
Every project is run with discipline, documentation, and care; from kickoff to final inspection.

Our Values

  • At Alloy, honesty and reliability are front-and-center: we communicate clearly, set realistic expectations, and ensure you always know where your project stands — because your success depends on our word.

  • Everyone on our team takes ownership of your work from quote to delivery; no task gets dropped, no detail is ignored, and everyone contributes to predictable, dependable results.

  • We solve the complex problems others avoid by applying deep technical expertise in welding and fabrication, precision with high-performance metals, and a focus on performance — not just appearances.

  • We prioritize work that tangibly advances your objectives — from prototype to production, aerospace to energy systems — delivering solutions that are fit-for-purpose, compliance-ready, and built to last.

  • We constantly refine our craft, procedures, and technical understanding so that every project benefits from better methods, tighter tolerances, and more insightful problem-solving than the last.
